So exciting news, I will be a guest at this years Fan Expo! My Bio is up on their site here
. I am very excited as this will be my first convention attending as an actual guest! I will be doing six cosplay panels. The panels I will be doing are Cosplay Tips and Tricks, From Artwork to Masquerade, Affordable Armour Making, Fabric Painting and Dying, Cosplay Makeup and Beginner Pattern Drafting. I am really really excited to get to share some of my know how with people! Hopefully I will get a good turn out for panels so I can do more in the future! I really truly love helping people! Also hopefully I won't end up being too drained for most of the weekend, it would be a shame to only be able to do my panels! The convention has so many other guests I am really excited to see!
I am planning on trying to get a costume together to show what I will be discussing for each of my panels. I think I have decided on all my costumes for the weekend, but we'll see what school allows me to get done before then. Commissions come first and my stuff sadly takes the back burner so I may not get as much done as I would like, but we'll see!
In other costume plans I will be attending the Toronto Cosplay picnic next weekend! That is so long as it does not storm. I will be dressing as the farmer from Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life (Jill) to go along with my good friend ~Hatless-Sheep
's Claire (female farmer from many other Harvest Moon games) costume~ I am very very excited about this! It will be partially a closet cosplay, but since Harvest Moon is one of my all time favourite game series I really really wanted to do this! I really didn't see the point in making a pair of jeans for this, or making the t-shirt itself. I will be printing the t-shirt and have made my apron, but otherwise I will just have normal jeans XD
I will also be at Costume Con 32 in Toronto next April! I plan on competing in almost every event! I am insanely excited about the Historical Masquerade as historical recreation costuming is what I am going to school for! I will certainly be submitting things for the Future Fashion Folio as I do fifteen garment drawings every week (and have since January) for class! I really love a bunch of the garments I have come up with so I think I will refine them and submit a few. Also if there are any outfits I really like that make it into the folio I will more than likely want to make one! Also the single pattern contest interests me greatly... because... well .. MERMAIDS! We'll see with school what I can actually do, but there is so much I would like to participate in!
I would also like to try and make it out to Otakuthon this year, it is right at the end of my Exam week, so I am not sure I will be able to, but I would really really like to! I have costume ideas, and actually a masquerade idea! I was originally planning this for Fan Expos Masquerade, but then when I was asked about being a guest I figured it was inappropriate to compete in their masq! So hopefully I will be able to shift those plans to Otakuthon, but we'll see. School will be rather insane towards the end of the semester so I have no idea if I will have time but hopefully! They are rather big plans (which I am currently keeping secret) so we'll see!
I am so so happy to be able to get back into cosplay and it has been such a wonderful year so far! I have not been this excited about things in a long time! I am even getting crazy excited about conventions I may be able to attend next year when I have an actual summer break! So so many fun plans! I really hope they will all pan out!
Anyways I think that is enough of an update for now! Toodles!
Also if any of you see me at any upcoming event please feel free to say hello~
